Misti Phillips James, DDS

Dr. Misti Phillips James received her undergraduate degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Purdue University in 1999 and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2003. While in private practice in Indiana Dr. James also served as a Comprehensive Care Clinical Instructor at Indiana School of Dentistry while her husband, Dr. Brian James, finished his endodontic residency. They met at Indiana University Dental School and in 2006 moved to Austin. Some of Dr. James’ hobbies include church, spending time with her boxer dogs, Daisy and Cactus, and outdoor activities such as running and boating. Dr. James believes that your overall health starts with a healthy mouth. Dr. James loves attending continuing education to ensure her patients are getting the most up to date advances in dentistry. Dr. James believes in providing conservative dental treatment that has stood the test of time to have a positive impact on her patient’s overall appearance and self confidence. Dr. James will serve as Treasurer of the Capital Area Dental Society this year and is a member of the Women of Austin Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association and the American Dental Association. Dr. James and her husband are expecting their first child in November!
